Biography
Mike Sell is the Florida Forward Party nominee for Florida's 4th Congressional District. He describes a career in operational excellence, mostly in U.S. healthcare, and says he takes no corporate money.[1][2]
According to his Ballotpedia survey, Sell was raised in a Navy family, the son and grandson of sailors, and moved frequently as a child. He says he started working in high school at minimum wage.[2] He says he built a career in operational excellence, mostly in the U.S. healthcare industry, earning a Six Sigma Black Belt and an operational excellence certification, and that he led projects that saved more than a quarter of a billion dollars over about twenty years of working to fix broken systems.[2]
Sell says he founded a not-for-profit built on the belief that access to information is a right, and that he has developed diversity programs and volunteered in his community. He describes himself as a husband and father of three grown children.[2] The Florida Forward Party primary for the seat was canceled, and he advanced to the general election.[2]
