Jeff Peckman is the Unity Party's nominee for governor, on a joint ticket with T.J. Cole. An entrepreneur and longtime campaigner for ballot initiatives and candidates, he describes himself as a "solutionist" and is described as a UFO disclosure activist. He won his party's primary with 146 votes, or 53.7 percent.[1][2][3]
Peckman was born in Paola, Kansas, on March 1, 1954, and says he spent his first five years on a farm.[3] He earned a high school diploma from Abraham Lincoln High School and has worked as an entrepreneur.[3] According to his campaign website, he was the first Vice President of Special Projects for the DaVinci Institute.[4]
Over 28 years Peckman has run three candidate campaigns and three ballot initiative campaigns.[3][4] In March 2026 he published a book, RAISE the ZONE.[4] In his Ballotpedia survey he lists proposals in economic development, health, education, energy, public safety, agriculture and homelessness, as well as disclosure of UFO secrecy.[3]
Peckman defeated Paul Fiorino in the Unity Party primary on June 30, 2026, 146 votes to 126, and appears on the November 3 ballot with T.J. Cole as his running mate.[1][2][3]
