Wes Peterson is the Working Class Party candidate for Michigan State Senate District 28 in the November 3, 2026 general election, having advanced from the party's June 6, 2026 convention.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, he described himself as a software engineer in East Lansing.[2]
In his Ballotpedia survey, Peterson said he is running to offer solutions to problems facing workers that the two-party system leaves unaddressed.[2] He said he supports public utilities, housing cooperatives and publicly built housing, protecting the right to organize, and helping workers buy their workplaces when they come up for sale.[2] He also said he supports ranked choice voting and proportional representation, and named technology policy as a personal interest because he writes software for a living.[2]
