Biography
Randall Terry is an independent candidate on the general-election ballot for Virginia's 7th District. He founded the anti-abortion group Operation Rescue, has run in several earlier races, and was the Constitution Party's presidential nominee in 2024. Ballotpedia lists no campaign profile, key messages or campaign finance activity for him in this race.[1][2][3]
Terry was born in 1959; Ballotpedia lists education at Elim Bible Institute (1981) and Whitfield College (1995).[2][3] He founded Operation Rescue, an anti-abortion organization, and led it until 1991.[2][3]
Terry ran for Congress in Upstate New York in 1998 and for the Florida Senate in 2006, losing the Republican primary both times.[3] In 2012 he ran in the Democratic presidential primaries and, as an independent, for Florida's 20th District.[3] He was the Constitution Party's nominee for president in 2024.[3] Ballotpedia also lists him as a withdrawn or disqualified candidate for New Jersey's 7th District in 2026, so he will not appear on that ballot.[2]
