Biography
Paul Rumbaugh is the Nebraska Working People Party candidate for Nebraska Secretary of State, a former Republican with a background in business management. His campaign site is titled "Protecting Nebraska votes and voices," and he says he is running on transparency and accountability in the office.[1][2][3]
Rumbaugh graduated from Omaha Central High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Bellevue University, and his career experience includes work in business management.[3] In his candidate survey he says he was a registered Republican until 2009, when he left the party and became nonpartisan.[2]
Rumbaugh says he is running with the Nebraska Working People Party to protect Nebraska from being ruled by party officials and unelected officials outside the state.[2] He says the Secretary of State's office needs to display transparency, accountability and confidence in and for the state's citizens, and he objects to sharing voters' personal information with party insiders in Washington, D.C.[2]
