Biography
Patrick McCracken is the Libertarian Party nominee for Montana's 2nd Congressional District. A financial advisor by background, he describes himself as a fourth-generation Montanan and is running on cost of living, health insurance and food prices.[1][2]
Patrick McCracken says he is 48 and has lived in Montana his whole life as a fourth-generation Montanan; he graduated from Billings West High School and attended school in Bozeman.[1] He worked as a financial advisor for about 10 years, left the state for work for a period, and says he has spent roughly 20 years or more helping people with their financial planning, now in a work-from-home job.[1]
McCracken, who is from Columbia Falls, mentions his wife and kids in a Montana Public Radio interview.[1][2] He became the Libertarian nominee without a primary opponent after the June 2, 2026 Libertarian primary was canceled.[3][2]
