Biography

Mike Noack is a truck driver from Bonfield, Illinois, and the Republican nominee for the open 2nd District seat. On his campaign website he describes himself as "a trucker, not a politician" and lists healthcare costs, energy and fiscal responsibility among his issues.[1][2][3]

Noack was born in Bonfield, Illinois, according to Ballotpedia, and says on his campaign website that he has lived in Kankakee County for 32 years.[2][3] He works as a truck driver; his campaign website says he holds a commercial driver's license (CDL) and has driven on highways in the district and across the country. He says his wife is from Japan, which he cites as the reason legal immigration is a personal issue for him.[2][3] Noack was the only Republican in the March 17, 2026 primary for the open seat and advanced to the November general election.[4][3]
