Manuel Luschas lists his profession as engineering consultant.[1] In a 2026 Ballotpedia survey, Luschas said he was educated in Germany as an RF and microwave electrical engineer, has worked on high-speed digital communication hardware for 22 years, and still works part-time remotely for a Silicon Valley company.[3] He said he moved his family from Silicon Valley to Brandon in 2020, farms corn, beans, oats, cattle, chickens and turkeys, and has been married to his wife Susan for 23 years.[3]
Luschas also ran for the state Senate in District 2 but did not appear on the Republican primary ballot, according to Ballotpedia.[1] In the survey, he said he is self-funding his campaign and pledged to recuse himself from votes involving a personal, financial or professional conflict of interest.[3] He listed private property rights, limits on digital surveillance, lower taxes, parental rights, gun owner rights, health freedom and school choice among his policy interests.[3]
