Russo earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota, according to Ballotpedia.[1] Her Ballotpedia survey response says she has helped national nonprofits raise millions of dollars over her career, including work with The Education Trust, the Milken Family Foundation and the Prostate Cancer Foundation.[2] It says that after Hurricane Helene she mobilized national support for Appalachian families and advocated for long-term recovery funding for the region.[2]
