Biography
Chelsea Walsh is the Republican candidate for North Carolina House of Representatives District 117 in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against Democrat Lynne Russo.[1][2] The North Carolina Republican Party selected Walsh as the nominee to replace Jennifer Balkcom, who withdrew after winning the March 3 Republican primary.[1]
Walsh previously sought the Republican nomination for the same district in 2022, when she received 5,441 votes, or 41.4 percent, and finished second to Balkcom, who received 5,599 votes, or 42.6 percent.[1]
