Kristen Plaisance

RCandidate

On the ballot Nov 3, 2026: Texas House District 3

Biography

Kristen Plaisance is the Republican candidate for the Texas House of Representatives, District 3, in the November 3, 2026 general election, in which she faces Democrat Nicole King; there is no incumbent in the race.[1][2] She won the March 3, 2026 Republican primary over incumbent Cecil Bell Jr.[2] In a Ballotpedia survey, she named ending property taxes, ending government immunity and ending Speaker control of the House among her policy priorities.[3]

In a Ballotpedia Candidate Connection survey completed in 2025, Plaisance said her campaign centers on holding the Texas government to the limits of the state constitution, arguing that the government has overreached, overspent and overtaxed.[3] She described having led a push for a hand-count audit of election processes and having worked with others on court cases involving Second Amendment rights, trial by jury and limits on government power.[3] She listed ending property taxes, ending sovereign, qualified and official immunity, and ending what she called speaker control among her priorities.[3]
