On the ballot Nov 3, 2026: Governor of Pennsylvania

Biography

Ken Krawchuk is the Libertarian Party nominee for governor, his fourth run for the office after the 1998, 2002 and 2018 elections. His campaign reports that the Department of State certified the Krawchuk–Thomas ticket for the November ballot.[1][2][3]

Krawchuk graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School and earned a bachelor's degree from St. Joseph's University in 1975.[4] He is the founder and president of Ken Krawchuk & Associates Ltd., an information technology consulting firm, has worked as a professional computer programmer since 1970, and is the author of the novel Atlas Snubbed.[4]

Krawchuk has been a registered Libertarian since 1993. He ran as the party's candidate for governor in 1998 against Tom Ridge, in 2002 against Ed Rendell and in 2018 against Tom Wolf, receiving 33,591, 40,962 and 49,229 votes, which his party biography describes as successive records for a Libertarian in that race.[1] His 1998 campaign made him the first Libertarian to exceed 1 percent in a governor's race in Pennsylvania, according to the same biography.[1] He also ran as a Libertarian for state representative in the 153rd District in 1994 and 2012, for Abington Township commissioner in 1995, 1997, 2001 and 2005, and in 2000 for Pennsylvania's 2nd Congressional District; that year he also sought the party's vice-presidential nomination and placed third among five candidates.[1] Within the party he served as Eastern vice chair of the Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania from 1995 to 1997 and as state party chair from 2002 to 2004.[1]
