Biography
John Day is a U.S. Navy veteran and professional writer from Lake Charles running as a Democratic candidate for Louisiana's 3rd Congressional District.[1][2][3]
According to his Ballotpedia survey, Day was born in Shreveport, raised in Lake Charles, and graduated from Sam Houston High School.[2] He served in the U.S. Navy beginning in 1994.[2] He works as a professional writer and, in his words, is working toward producing film projects; the Louisiana Illuminator's voter guide describes him as a writer and film producer.[2][3] He says he is married to Amanda Hardy Day and that they have four grown children.[2]
