On the ballot Nov 3, 2026: U.S. House · Iowa's 4th District
Biography
Decker is a retired U.S. Army veteran running as an independent write-in candidate for Iowa's 4th Congressional District, campaigning against the two-party system and on fighting government corruption.[1]
Decker served in the U.S. Army from 2007 to 2015, earned a high school diploma from Logan-Magnolia High School, and is now retired.[1] In an August 2026 Ballotpedia Candidate Connection survey, he said he is running as an independent because Washington should answer to the people rather than to political parties or special interests, and that he is not running to become a career politician. He is on the ballot as a write-in candidate.[2]
