Biography
Jeffrey McClain is the Republican candidate for Ohio House of Representatives District 87 in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1][2] He previously represented District 87 in the Ohio House from 2009 to 2016 and served as Wyandot County Auditor for more than 26 years.[2]
Jeffrey McClain graduated from Upper Sandusky High School and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Tiffin University.[2] His professional experience includes serving as the Wyandot County Auditor for over 26 years.[2]
McClain assumed office in the Ohio House of Representatives, District 87, in 2009 and left office in 2016.[2] During that time his committee assignments included Finance and Appropriations, Ways and Means, Transportation, Public Safety and Homeland Security, and the State Controlling Board.[2] He advanced from the Republican primary on May 5, 2026.[2]
