Biography
Andre Easton is a lifelong Bronx resident and public-school teacher running on the Party for Socialism and Liberation line in his first political campaign. He completed Ballotpedia's Candidate Connection survey, describing a platform built around public housing, a $30 minimum wage, and ending U.S. military aid to Israel.[1][2][3]
In a Ballotpedia survey response, Easton describes himself as "an educator, father, husband, and socialist" and a lifelong Bronx resident.[1][2] According to the Bronx Times, he has taught in South Bronx public schools since 2012 and describes the work as 14 years as a South Bronx educator, while his own survey response gives 13 years of teaching English there; the paper calls him a high school teacher.[2][3] His 2026 run is his first political campaign, per the Bronx Times; he is a member of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, which is running him as an independent candidate, and he hosts a series of campaign events called "Class is in Session" on Bronx issues.[3]
