Biography
Adam Rueda is the Humane Sustainable Future Party candidate for New Jersey's 5th Congressional District. A Bucknell University graduate and former financial analyst who described himself in a 2025 survey as 28 years old, he says he co-founded a new political party, "greenparty2.0," and is campaigning on environmental and health policy, gun-control reform, and campaign-finance and lobbying reform.[1]
Rueda was raised in Andover Township (Sussex County), attended Catholic grade and middle school, and graduated from Pope John XXIII Regional High School in Sparta.[1] He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a focus in financial management and accounting, from Bucknell University in 2019, and says he was a first-generation college graduate, vice president of his fraternity, and a participant in the university's Student Managed Investment Fund.[1] He has worked as a senior financial analyst at a commercial real estate brokerage in Morristown, as an interior design salesperson in Short Hills and Manhattan, and as a DJ in New York City and Brooklyn.[1]
Rueda says he is one of 11 executive committee chairs of greenparty2.0, a party he describes as led by young professionals and activists.[1] He has not held elected office.[1]
