Brad Barnhill is the Independent American Party candidate for Secretary of State. A Navy veteran and paralegal, he campaigns as "your independent voice" on voter ID rollout, voter-roll maintenance and repealing the Commerce Tax.[1][2]

Barnhill served in the U.S. Navy and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia in 1981.[2] He has worked as a federal contractor, systems analyst, paralegal and consultant.[2][3]
He has chaired the Clark County Central Committee of the Independent American Party and served as vice chairman of the state party.[1] Barnhill was the party's candidate in state Senate District 6 in 2024, receiving about 2,000 votes.[3]
