Basic profile — the most important sourced facts we found.
Warmington earned a Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, a master's in business administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and a law degree from the University of New Hampshire School of Law.[1] She began her career as a health care administrator and later practiced health care law for about 20 years, including at the firm Shaheen & Gordon.[1]
In 2020 Warmington won the District 2 seat on the Executive Council, succeeding fellow Democrat Andru Volinsky, defeating Republican Jim Beard 54.4% to 45.5%.[1] She was re-elected in 2022 by 60% to 40% over Republican state Sen. Harold French, and served through 2025; after the 2022 election Republicans outnumbered Democrats on the council.[1][6] In June 2023 she announced a campaign for governor, and she finished second in the 2024 Democratic primary, behind former Manchester mayor Joyce Craig and ahead of Jon Kiper.[1]
Warmington announced a second run for governor in February 2026 and was unopposed for the Democratic nomination in the 2026 primary, receiving 126,223 votes against 4,788 write-in votes.[1][3][7] She is from Concord and is married to Bill Christie, an attorney who has served as legal counsel to the New Hampshire Democratic Party and is the treasurer of her campaign.[1][2][7]
