Biography
Anthony Hudson is a Genesee County truck driver and the Libertarian nominee for governor, with running mate Beau Parmenter. The Libertarian Party of Michigan disavowed him on September 29, 2026, but his name remains on the ballot on the party's line.[1][2][3]
Basic profile — the most important sourced facts we found.
Hudson was born in Hillsboro, Texas, and served in the U.S. Army from 1999 to 2001.[5] His career experience includes owning a small trucking company.[5]
Hudson first sought the Republican nomination for governor, then switched to the Libertarian Party in February.[1] On September 29, 2026, the Libertarian Party of Michigan released a statement saying his campaign's ideology contradicts the party's core values, platform and purpose; Hudson said he was comfortable with the disavowal.[2] His name stayed on the ballot on the Libertarian line because the withdrawal deadline had passed.[2]
