Relating to building permits; to provide for statewide
What it does: This act authorizes counties and municipalities to levy an additional $20 fee for issuing residential building permits to be deposited into the Alabama Construction Trade Academy Fund. This act also amends Section 34-14A-20, Code of Alabama 1975, to: (1) provide the Alabama Construction Trade Academy Fund is non-reverting; and (2) further provide for the scope of grants awarded from the fund and related procedures and limitations.
