William Connell is the Republican candidate for the Rhode Island State Senate, District 5, in the November 3, 2026 general election, having won the September 9, 2026 Republican primary; he was also the Republican nominee for the seat in 2024.[1]
William Connell won the 2024 Republican primary for Rhode Island State Senate District 5 and lost the general election to incumbent Democrat Sam Bell, 20.8 percent to 78.6 percent.[1] In 2026 he faces Bell again.[1] Ballotpedia reports that Connell signed the U.S. Term Limits Pledge.[1]
