Wendy Coleman

Wendy Coleman is the Democratic candidate for the West Virginia House of Delegates, District 29, in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1][2] In a Ballotpedia survey, she described herself as a Title XIX case manager and behavioral support professional with a nursing background.[3]

Wendy Coleman earned a high school diploma from Van High School and a bachelor's degree from Mountain State University in 2008, and Ballotpedia lists her career experience as working as a case manager.[2] In a Ballotpedia survey, she said she currently serves as a Title XIX Case Manager and Behavioral Support Professional-1 and that her background includes nursing.[3] She also said she coaches T-Ball and is a certified 4-H air pistol instructor.[3]

Coleman advanced from the May 12, 2026 Democratic primary for District 29 with 493 votes in a race with no other Democrat, and she faces incumbent Republican Henry Dillon in the general election.[2] In the survey she named transparency in how votes are cast and tax dollars are spent, funding for public schools and support for school employees, and infrastructure including water, roads, broadband and cellular coverage as her key messages.[3] She listed endorsements from groups including Education-West Virginia, the AFL-CIO and the United Mine Workers of America.[3]
