Victoria Broderick

Victoria Broderick is the Democratic nominee for Tennessee's 4th District, a technology-industry worker and mother of two who describes herself as becoming politically active in 2021 after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. She chaired her local county Democratic Party, ran against Rep. Scott DesJarlais in 2024, and won the August 6, 2026 Democratic primary.[1][2][3]

Victoria Broderick was born in Tampa, Florida; her campaign website says she grew up across the South, from Atlanta to Dallas, before settling in Lincoln County, Tennessee.[3][2] She graduated from Lincoln County High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Austin Peay State University in 2015.[3] She works in the technology industry; Ballotpedia lists her career experience as a technology professional and sourcing coordinator, and she says she works full-time in tech while campaigning.[3][1] The Tennessee Lookout's voter guide describes her as having worked in logistics and the technology industry.[4]

Broderick says she began her political involvement in 2021 and became her local county Democratic Party chair after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade during her maternity leave; Ballotpedia lists affiliations with the Lincoln County Democrats and the Tennessee Democratic Party Executive Committee.[1][2][3] She was the Democratic nominee against Rep. Scott DesJarlais in the November 5, 2024 general election, which DesJarlais won; her campaign website says she built that campaign in five months while working full time after learning DesJarlais would otherwise run unopposed.[3][2] On August 6, 2026, she won the Democratic primary for the 4th District, defeating Mike Cortese, Joyce Neal, Tim Lanier and Cliff Huffman.[3]

Broderick describes herself as a mother of two young boys who fosters animals with her local humane society, and Ballotpedia lists an affiliation with the Lincoln County Humane Society.[1][3]
