Biography
Victor Dominquez is the Democratic candidate for the South Dakota House of Representatives, District 34, in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1][2] In a Ballotpedia survey, he said he is a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe.[3]
In a Ballotpedia survey, Dominquez listed three key campaign messages: strengthening relations between the state and its tribes, extending healthcare and childcare programs to ease the financial burden on South Dakotans, and protecting the Black Hills from industry.[3] He named housing affordability, public infrastructure, environmental protection of the Black Hills, water supply and quality, and a healthcare and childcare gap among the state's greatest challenges over the next decade.[3] He said that he looks up to his mother, who he said sacrificed her own ambitions so that he and his nine siblings could have a better life.[3]
