Biography
Tyreek Goodman is the Conservative Party nominee for NY Assembly District 84 and a Bronx resident. He has run twice before without success, for this Assembly seat in 2024 and for New York City Council District 8 in 2025, and has not held elected office.[1][2]
Goodman, a Bronx resident, told the Bronx Times that he was once disillusioned with politics and never saw himself running for office until fellow Conservative Gonzalo Duran challenged him to step up.[2]
He ran for NY Assembly District 84 in 2024 on the Conservative Party line, finishing third with 2.9% of the vote behind Amanda Septimo (D/WFP) and Rosaline Nieves (R).[1][2] He announced a bid for New York City Council at a December 14, 2024 Bronx Conservative Party gathering, then ran for Council District 8 in the November 4, 2025 general election on the Republican and Conservative Party lines, finishing second with 12.0% of the vote (3,486 votes) behind Elsie Encarnacion.[1][2]
The Bronx Conservative Party endorsed Goodman as its 2026 candidate for State Assembly District 84.[3] At the endorsement meeting he described a campaign concept called People Over Politics and said the party should educate voters about conservatism.[3]
