DCandidate

On the ballot Nov 3, 2026: Missouri House District 33

Biography

Troy Latterell is the Democratic candidate for Missouri House of Representatives District 33 in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against incumbent Republican Carolyn Caton.[1] A computer engineer and technology leader and longtime Lee's Summit resident, he lists public education among his top priorities.[2]

Troy Latterell said in a Ballotpedia survey that he grew up on a farm and has lived in Lee's Summit for more than 20 years.[2] He described a career as a computer engineer and technology leader, leading teams through hundreds of projects.[2] He said he is a longtime member of Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church and has volunteered with community organizations.[2]

Latterell said he is running because he believes too much legislative time and taxpayer money is spent on protecting political power rather than on problems facing Missouri families, schools and businesses.[2] His stated priorities include providing a strong education to every child and connecting education and career training to Missouri's future workforce.[2]
