Tom Schmitz is the Libertarian Party nominee for Missouri's 1st District. A St. Louis native, he previously ran as the Libertarian candidate for Missouri's 8th District in 2020. Little additional biographical information is publicly available.[1][2]
Schmitz was born in St. Louis, Missouri.[2] In 2020 he was the Libertarian candidate for U.S. House Missouri District 8, finishing third with about 1.8% of the vote behind incumbent Jason Smith.[2] He advanced unopposed from the August 4, 2026 Libertarian primary for Missouri's 1st District.[2]
