Biography
Tim Nelson is the Libertarian candidate for the Oregon State Senate, District 13, in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against incumbent Courtney Neron (D/Working Families Party) and Glenn Lancaster (R). He works as a chef.[1][2]
Nelson was the Libertarian candidate for Oregon House District 26 in 2018, receiving 2.0 percent of the vote, and again in 2020, receiving 2.3 percent; Courtney Neron (D) won both races.[2]
In a 2026 Ballotpedia survey, Nelson said both Democrats and Republicans work for donors rather than voters, and he named limiting the size, scope and cost of government as his policy focus.[3] His listed campaign messages were that taxes are theft and that all gun laws are unconstitutional.[3]
