Thomas Ware

Thomas Ware is the Democratic candidate for the New Hampshire House of Representatives, Merrimack 5, in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1][2] In a Ballotpedia survey, Ware described himself as an Andover resident with more than two decades of experience in human services and education.[3]

Ware said in his Ballotpedia survey that he was born in New Hampshire, grew up and attended school in Virginia, and has lived in Andover for 18 years with his wife and two daughters.[3] He earned a bachelor's degree in history from James Madison University in 2003 and completed postgraduate work in history and education at New England College.[1][3] He said he has worked in special education, managed a program for former foster youth, and served as a teacher and disability services coordinator, and that he helps direct and coach the town recreation basketball program.[3]

Ware said he is running to make New Hampshire more affordable for working families, with priorities of lowering property taxes, supporting public schools, protecting the natural environment and increasing housing availability.[3] He advanced from the Democratic primary on September 8, 2026.[1]
