Biography

Sully Sullivan is the Republican candidate for Georgia House of Representatives District 59 in the November 3, 2026 general election, facing incumbent Phil Olaleye (D).[1][2] In a Ballotpedia survey, Sullivan described himself as a community leader, former law enforcement officer and political candidate based in Atlanta.[3]

In a Ballotpedia survey, Sully Sullivan said he attended Georgia Military College, graduated from Therrell High School and later worked in law enforcement in the Atlanta area.[3] He listed work for the Department of Juvenile Justice, the Clayton County Sheriff's Office and N2U Protection, and said he is founder and chief executive officer of O'Sully Enterprise, a private security and consulting company.[3] He wrote that he has been a candidate for mayor of Atlanta and has been involved in community initiatives supporting veterans and housing assistance, and that he is affiliated with Veterans for America First.[3]

Sullivan advanced from the Republican primary for District 59 on May 19, 2026.[2] Affordable housing is the first of the key messages he listed in the survey, in which he wrote that rising property taxes, stagnant wages and limited voucher acceptance have widened the gap between housing supply and demand.[3]
