Biography
Stefanie Bord is the Democratic candidate for Texas House of Representatives District 126 in the November 3, 2026, general election, running against Republican Stan Stanart in a race with no incumbent.[1][2] In a Ballotpedia survey, Bord described a background as a high school science teacher and environmental consultant who has homeschooled two children since 2020.[3]
Bord said in the survey that she has volunteered as a precinct chair and as editor of a neighborhood magazine, has been a member of Moms Demand Action since the Robb Elementary shooting in Uvalde, and has lived in the district for over a decade.[3] Bord listed legislation on flood safety, including limits on building in floodplains and improved flood warnings, and a free, fully funded public education for every child among the campaign's priorities.[3]
