Stacy Bax

Stacy Bax is the Democratic candidate for the Missouri House of Representatives, District 61, in the November 3, 2026 general election, having advanced from the Democratic primary on August 4, 2026.[1][2] A small business owner, she began her career with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and says she and her husband operate a third-generation family logging business.[1][3]

Bax said in a Ballotpedia survey that she was born and raised in rural Mid-Missouri, where she grew up on a small farm.[3] She became a single mother at 18, finished high school, and began her career with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.[3] She said she has served on her county's SB40 Board and that she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in political science.[3]

Bax named public education as the issue closest to her heart, citing more than 20 years of advocating for her own children and helping other families access resources.[3] Her stated campaign messages also include rural infrastructure, such as roads, bridges and high-speed internet, and the rising cost of groceries, utilities and health care.[3] She listed the Missouri AFL-CIO among her endorsers.[3]
