Biography
Shawn Orton is the Libertarian Party candidate for the Michigan House of Representatives, District 102, in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1][2] Ballotpedia describes him as an engineer.[1]
Orton earned a high school diploma from Manistee High School, an associate degree from West Shore Community College in 2008 and a bachelor's degree from Ferris State University in 2016, according to Ballotpedia.[1] He advanced from the Libertarian Party convention on June 28, 2026.[1]
In a Ballotpedia survey, Orton named three campaign messages: fiscal responsibility, strong communities and maximum freedom.[3] He said he is interested in policy that increases freedom and reduces government intrusion.[3]
