Scott Singer

Scott Singer is the Republican nominee in Florida's 25th District, running against Rep. Jared Moskowitz. A Boca Raton business attorney, he was elected to the city council in 2014 and served as the city's mayor from 2018 to 2026. He describes himself as an "America First Republican" and is running on lower taxes, border security and cutting regulation.[1][2][3][4][6]

Singer was born in Miami Beach and raised in Fort Lauderdale, according to his Ballotpedia Candidate Connection survey, and he says he is raising his family in the 25th District.[3] He graduated from Pine Crest School, earned a bachelor's degree from Harvard University in 1998 and received a law degree from Georgetown Law in 2003; the Florida League of Mayors says he graduated cum laude with a degree in government.[2][4] Singer has worked for two decades as a business attorney and small-business owner, and the League of Mayors says he owns several small businesses, including a law firm focused on entrepreneurs.[3][4]

Singer was first elected to the Boca Raton City Council in 2014 and re-elected in 2017, and the council appointed him deputy mayor.[4] He became mayor of Boca Raton on April 27, 2018, was re-elected twice, and served until 2026.[2][4][5] In his survey, Singer says that as mayor he cut tax rates seven straight times and led 21 streamlining initiatives to reduce regulation.[3] He is a fellow at the America First Policy Institute and chairs its America First Mayors' Council, according to Ballotpedia and his survey.[2][3]

Singer announced his campaign for Congress on December 18, 2025, for the seat then numbered the 23rd District and held by Moskowitz.[5] Florida's 2026 redistricting changed the boundaries of that district and the 25th District, and Singer advanced from the Republican primary for the 25th on August 18, 2026.[1][2] President Donald Trump endorsed him on September 1, 2026, according to WLRN.[6]
