Biography
Sarah Emery is the Democratic candidate for Colorado House of Representatives District 14 in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against incumbent Republican Ava Flanell.[1][3] She is an attorney.[1]
Sarah Emery earned a bachelor's degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2005, a graduate degree from Colorado Mesa University in 2011 and a law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2014.[1] Her career experience includes working as an attorney.[1]
Emery advanced from the June 30, 2026 Democratic primary for House District 14.[1] In a 2025 Ballotpedia survey, she said she was an unaffiliated voter until December 2025 and described her politics as centered on neighbors and community rather than left or right.[2] She named the cost of living, public education funding and homelessness, infrastructure and wildfire mitigation among her priorities.[2]
