Samuel Price is the Democratic candidate for South Carolina House of Representatives District 99 in the November 3, 2026 general election, after advancing from the June 9, 2026 Democratic primary.[1][2] In a Ballotpedia survey, he described a background in software engineering and said he directs multiple software teams as a senior technical lead.[3]
Samuel Price said in a Ballotpedia survey that he has worked extensively on government contracts and is running to challenge what he described as 30 years of poor leadership, infrastructure and systemic corruption.[3] He said he is not a career politician and wants to apply an engineer's understanding of technology and infrastructure to issues such as artificial intelligence, data centers and the electrical grid.[3] His stated priorities include accountability in government contracting, infrastructure, and city planning.[3]
