Saif Rehman

Saif Rehman is an unaffiliated candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates, District 9A, in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1][3] A Howard County resident and technology entrepreneur, he says he qualified for the ballot by petition and is running as an independent, issue-focused voice.[2]

Rehman said in a Ballotpedia survey that he is the founder and CEO of NextGen Consulting Inc. and holds a Ph.D. in management information systems.[2] He said he has spent two decades helping public- and private-sector organizations improve performance and accountability, and that he spoke with residents at nearly 4,000 doors before qualifying for the 2026 ballot.[2] He listed his key messages as making Maryland more affordable and accountable, improving education outcomes and constituent service, and providing an independent voice that evaluates proposals on their merits rather than by party.[2] He said he is passionate about affordability, education reform, accountable government, energy and utility costs, open primaries and fair ballot access, support for small businesses, and modern public services.[2]
