Ruben Rodriguez is the Republican candidate for Connecticut State Senate District 15 in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against incumbent Joan Hartley (D / Independent Party of Connecticut).[1][2]
Rodriguez ran as the Republican candidate for Connecticut House of Representatives District 72 in 2014, when incumbent Larry B. Butler defeated him in the general election.[2] His campaign website that year listed priorities including bringing good quality jobs to Waterbury, reducing state spending and taxes, and cleaning up blighted neighborhoods.[2] Ballotpedia also lists Rodriguez among the withdrawn or disqualified Republican candidates in the 2020 race for U.S. House Connecticut District 5.[2]
