Biography
Rodger Broadwater is an independent candidate for Tennessee House of Representatives District 6 in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against incumbent Republican Tim Hicks and Democrat Brad Batt.[1][2] In a Ballotpedia survey, he described himself as a lifelong East Tennessee resident who graduated from North Greene High School in 2014.[3]
Broadwater said in a Ballotpedia survey that his campaign would build a public platform where District 6 residents could vote yes or no on major bills, and that he would follow the district's majority position.[3] He named protecting clean water and opposing the BWXT expansion, capping property taxes, strengthening public schools and lowering healthcare costs among his policy concerns.[3]
