Robyn Gulley

Robyn Gulley is the Democratic candidate for Minnesota State Senate District 65, an open seat, in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1][2] She won the August 11, 2026 Democratic primary over Natasha Bennett and is an education specialist who, in a Ballotpedia survey, said she serves on the West St. Paul City Council and the University of Minnesota Board of Regents.[2][3]

Robyn Gulley earned a high school diploma from Wichita Southeast High School, a bachelor's degree from the College of Santa Fe in 2003, a graduate degree from the University of Minnesota's Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs in 2008, and a graduate degree from Central European University in 2011.[2] In a Ballotpedia survey, she said she has lived and worked in the district for her entire adult life, comes from a working-class family, and is a mother of four children in West St. Paul.[3] She said she spent five years at the Human Rights Campaign organizing for marriage equality and holds a master's degree in international human rights law.[3]

Gulley said in the survey that she works as the Midwest Regional Coordinator of the Doctor's Union with SEIU, in addition to serving on the West St. Paul City Council and the University of Minnesota Board of Regents.[3] She listed childcare, housing, healthcare and higher education as her priorities, and said she supports a single-payer healthcare system and extending the North Star Promise tuition program to families making less than $150,000 per year.[3] Ballotpedia lists endorsements from AFSCME Council 5, the Minnesota AFL-CIO, the Minnesota Nurses Association, SEIU Minnesota State Council, Clean Water Action and Education Minnesota.[2]
