Biography
Peter Boudreau is a Democratic candidate for the New Hampshire House of Representatives, Rockingham 31, in the November 3, 2026 general election, after advancing from the September 8 primary.[1][2] He is a retired Manchester firefighter and master plumber who describes himself as a moderate Democrat.[3]
Boudreau, who is also known as Pete, earned a high school diploma from Manchester Memorial High School and an associate degree from NHTI - Concord's Community College in 2000.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, he said he is a lifelong New Hampshire resident whose career of more than 35 years began as a plumber, continued as a volunteer firefighter in Auburn and included 31 years with the Manchester Fire Department, where he retired as a lieutenant.[3]
Boudreau listed his campaign messages as working across party lines, lowering the burden on working families through responsible budgeting and fair education funding, and protecting services such as public schools, public safety and health care.[3] He said he is passionate about public education and reducing property tax pressure, and that changes to the retirement system have made it harder to recruit and keep police officers, firefighters and other public employees.[3]
