Biography
Pearl Beckage is a Republican candidate for the Vermont House of Representatives, Chittenden-23 District, in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1][3] An Essex resident and educator, she said in a Ballotpedia survey that she is running on fiscal discipline, lower taxes and returning decision-making to the local level.[2]
Beckage said in a Ballotpedia survey that she has lived in Vermont since 2003 and is a longtime Essex resident.[2] She said she was born into a military family and moved 14 times during her childhood, and that her professional life has centered on supporting young learners and families.[2] She described her community service as including mentoring children in public schools and providing care and companionship to the elderly.[2]
Beckage said she decided to run because of rising living costs, higher property taxes, growing state spending and burdensome regulations.[2] She listed her policy priorities as responsible state budgeting, affordability for Vermont families, high-quality education with careful use of taxpayer dollars, reduced regulation, and government transparency and accountability.[2] She advanced from the Republican primary on August 11, 2026.[1]
