Biography

Natalie Price is a Democratic state representative from Michigan House of Representatives District 6 and the Democratic candidate for Michigan State Senate District 10 in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1] A former English teacher and Berkley city council member, she is not seeking re-election to the House.[1]

Natalie Price was born in Toledo, Ohio, and graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 2000.[1] She earned a B.A. in English and classics from Vassar College in 2004 and an M.A. in English studies from the University of Exeter in 2006.[1] Her career experience includes working as an upper school English teacher at Maumee Valley Country Day School and as a part-time instructor with Berkley Parks and Recreation.[1]

Price served on the Berkley, Michigan, city council and has been affiliated with the Michigan Municipal League and Women Officials Network.[1] In a 2026 Ballotpedia survey, she said she left teaching because her family could not afford childcare during her husband's medical residency, which led her to run for Berkley City Council in 2019.[2] She is assigned to the House Appropriations Committee.[1]

In the same survey, Price said she carried gun safety legislation that was signed into law and championed a $450 million medical debt relief program.[2] She said she is a co-sponsor of MICare, a single-payer health care plan, and described her Senate run as a way to use the relationships she has built in the House.[2]
