Michelle Schreiner is the Democratic candidate for Georgia House of Representatives District 45 in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against incumbent Sharon Cooper (R).[1][2] A psychologist, she says her priorities include public schools, health care and the costs of growth in East Cobb.[1][3]
Michelle Schreiner earned a high school diploma from Wheeler High School and bachelor's, graduate and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Georgia in 2000, 2002 and 2005, respectively.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, she said she was born in Puerto Rico, grew up as the daughter of an Army Ranger, and later made East Cobb her home.[3] She said her career has included public service at the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services, where she evaluated healthcare programs, and that she now leads private-sector research teams.[3]
