Biography

Michael Chiaradio is a Democrat who owns a regenerative farm in Shubuta, Mississippi. Originally from Teaneck, New Jersey, he played professional baseball, started small businesses including a women's softball league, and spent nearly four years in leadership at the government contractor Maximus Inc. He says he is running on investing in people, agriculture, and healthcare.[1][2]

Chiaradio was born and raised in Teaneck, New Jersey, and graduated from Teaneck High School. He earned a bachelor's degree from Eastern Nazarene College in 2013 and an MBA from Felician University in 2021.[1][2] He says he played college baseball and then in the inaugural season of what became the Empire Professional Baseball League, and worked in league operations afterward. He later launched small businesses, most notably a professional softball league, the American Softball Association (ASBA Softball), in Satsuma, Alabama, which he says ran for two summers.[2]

Chiaradio spent nearly four years in leadership at Maximus Inc., a global government contractor that supports Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act; the Mississippi Free Press describes him as a former supervisor there.[2][3] He moved to Shubuta in 2023, where he owns and operates a regenerative farm with sheep, pigs and cows. He was the only candidate in the March 10, 2026 Democratic primary for the 3rd District.[1][2][3]
