Melissa Winslow earned a high school diploma from Gray-New Gloucester High School and a bachelor's degree from Cairn University, and her career experience includes working as a business owner.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, she described herself as a 10th-generation Mainer who grew up in New Gloucester, and said she and her husband returned 17 years ago and raised five children there.[2] She said the couple own a small business, Winslow Agriculture LLC, serving farmers across the state, and that her education is in youth ministry, with vocational and volunteer work with children, youth, college students, and foster and adoptive families.[2] Winslow won the Republican primary for the seat on June 9, 2026, receiving 1,145 votes in a race in which she was the only candidate listed.[1]
Winslow listed three key campaign messages in the survey: affordability, accountability and opportunity, citing taxes, energy and housing costs, government waste, fraud and corruption, declining public school scores and regulation of businesses.[2] She named child welfare and education as the areas of public policy she is most passionate about.[2]
