Mackenzi Truelove

Mackenzi Truelove is the Democratic candidate for Kansas House of Representatives District 85 in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1][2] Her career is in healthcare administration and clinical research, and in a Ballotpedia survey she said she is running to protect education funding, affordable health care and access to clean water.[1][3]

Mackenzi Truelove earned a high school diploma from Andover Central High School, a bachelor's degree from Wichita State University in 2015 and a graduate degree from Wichita State in 2021.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, she said she holds a bachelor's degree in biomedical science and a master's in health administration, worked in an emergency department and family medicine practices, and has spent the past eight years in clinical research.[3] She said she ran for school board in the previous year.[3]

Truelove said in the survey that her campaign messages center on access to clean water, affordable health care and public assistance, and on protecting and expanding funding for public and special education.[3] She also said that expanding Medicaid is among her priorities.[3]
