Biography
Lyndsey Stough is an independent candidate for the Ohio House of Representatives, District 44, in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1] An architect, she said in a Ballotpedia survey that she has served on Sylvania City Council for six years.[1][2]
Lyndsey Stough graduated from Sylvania Southview High School, and Ballotpedia lists a bachelor's degree from Ohio State University (2009) and a graduate degree from the University of Michigan (2014).[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, she described herself as a third-generation architect in a small family business with more than 15 years in architecture, including projects for The Ability Center of Greater Toledo, TARTA and Owens Community College.[2] She said she has served six years on Sylvania City Council and is running as an independent because neither party has felt right to her.[2]
Stough named public education as a campaign priority, saying the Fair School Funding Plan is underfunded in the current budget by $400 million and that the voucher system weakens public schools.[2] She also named lowering costs for residents, including restoring the Local Government Fund.[2]
