Lisa Vider

Lisa Vider is the Democratic candidate for New York State Senate District 9 in the November 3, 2026 general election, in which incumbent Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick is also running.[1][2] Her campaign website describes her as a healthcare administrator with more than 25 years of management experience.[3]

Lisa Vider, who also uses the name Malkie, says on her campaign website that she was born and raised in the Borough Park and Flatbush sections of Brooklyn and attended Shulamith High School and later Brooklyn College.[3] Her campaign says she began working as a teenager at her family's assisted living facility and went on to become its administrator.[3] The site says she moved to Long Island after marrying in 2013 and lives in Hewlett Bay Park with her husband and three children.[3] It also says she serves on the board of the Brandeis School, supports Teach NYS and volunteers with NYSHFA/NYSCAL.[3]

Vider's campaign website lists lower costs for homeowners, safe communities, quality senior care and better schools as her priorities.[3]
